Law Students

McLane's commitment to nurturing and mentoring attorneys is unsurpassed. Our offices in New Hampshire and Massachusetts share a framework that matches senior attorneys to first-year associates. We believe that a strong commitment from our partners and senior attorneys helps junior associates become comfortable in the law firm environment and succeed. The firm has a structured professional development and mentor program that engages new associates throughout their career. We understand that the law firm culture is unique and do our best to integrate attorneys in both professional and social opportunities.

We also schedule routine attorney feedback sessions. This provides an opportunity for new hires to ask questions, communicate concerns, and discuss career goals in a structured format with firm management and practice group leadership. This format has been very effective with attorney retention.

In addition to our professional development workshops, out-of-office outings and mentor program, all associates have access to the marketing and business development department. Associates are scheduled to meet with our Director of Business Development to define an annual marketing plan. Throughout the year, the Director will assist attorneys with on-going marketing goals including: articles, web bio improvements, speaking engagements and participation at client events. Additionally, associates will receive one-on-one training from our Library and Records Management Directors for research and documentation purposes.

Our hiring philosophy is to seek candidates with excellent legal credentials from top law schools who are interested in working with clients in New England. If you would like to discuss opportunities available at McLane in our offices in Massachusetts or New Hampshire, please send resumes to Jessica Boisvert, our attorney hiring coordinator, at jessica.boisvert@mclane.com.
