MCLANE SUPPORTS THE NEXT GENERATION OF VOTERSNovember 19, 2009, Manchester, NH: More than a dozen employees of the law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association proudly served as volunteers in the Kids Voting New Hampshire program administered by The Political Library on November 3rd. Students in Manchester participated in the municipal elections, casting their vote for the next Mayor of the Queen City. 512 student ballots with the following percentage of votes were reported: Ted Gatsas: 43%; Mark Roy: 51%; Other: 6%. A state affiliate of the national Kids Voting USA network, Kids Voting NH is a community-based program that combines civic education in the classroom with an authentic voting experience for students. The goal is to improve voter turnout now and in the future. Michael McCluskey, McLane's Executive Director was the founding Chair of the program in New Hampshire. The firm was also represented by the following individuals who helped the children cast their ballots at the Ward 1 location were: Dick Hurlburt, Margot Bergeron, Darlene Hargis, Heather Wolcott, Donna Desruisseaux, Melanie Scargill, Connie Coppinger, Maggie Andersen, Jackie Crump and Jennifer Finch.
