Margaret R. Kerouac
Associate
Margaret is an associate in the litigation department whose practice focuses primarily upon domestic relations and personal injury matters. The scope of her domestic relations practice includes representation of clients in matters involving property valuation/division, custody disputes, post-divorce matters and appellate litigation as well as preparation of prenuptial agreements. Her experience in the personal injury field includes product liability, medical negligence, wrongful death and other bodily injury cases. Margaret has worked extensively in national pharmaceutical class action litigation, relating to a variety of pharmaceuticals, as well as other product liability litigation. She has litigated cases in various State courts and before the United States District Court, including the Federal Multi-District Litigation Panel.

Representative Clients & Work
Margaret handles all aspects of matters from discovery to trial and appellate litigation. Margaret has also handled numerous reported and unreported cases at the New Hampshire Supreme Court. The cases of Blanchflower and Blanchflower, 150 N.H. 226 (2003) as well as State of New Hampshire v. Taylor, 904 A.2d 619 (2006), are reported appellate decisions involving both divorce and personal injury matters on which Margaret assisted. Margaret has also argued before the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
Margaret has also argued before the New Hampshire Supreme Court. In the divorce context, Margaret represents individuals ranging from those with moderate means to individuals with high net worth and financially sophisticated marital estates. These cases are resolved in a variety of ways, including collaborative law, mediation, negotiation, and when necessary, trial. Margaret is a licensed collaborative law practitioner.
Margaret's personal injury experience is diverse, including representation of plaintiffs in personal injury and/or medical malpractice cases as well as the defense of large pharmaceutical corporations and automobile manufacturers in product liability litigation.

Community Involvement
Margaret has participated in fundraising and other activities for High Hopes, YMCA, Junior Achievement, Child and Family Services, various animal welfare organizations and United Way. Margaret has also been involved in the United Way allocations process and served on the Community Investment Committee which evaluates the need of participating agencies. Margaret is a very active participant in the Bar Association's pro bono program, which provides legal services to impoverished New Hampshire residents.
As Vice Chair of the Bar's Family Law Section, Margaret assists in Management of the Section, providing benefits to other family law attorneys, and arranging and / or presenting continuing education programs for Family Law Section Members.
