Rachel is an Associate in the Litigation Department of McLane, where she focuses her practice on complex environmental actions and business litigation cases. She represents a broad range of clients in litigation involving breach of contract, general business disputes, construction, civil rights, products liability, land use disputes, actions against municipalities, contribution claims, personal injury, and insurance issues.

Representative Clients & Work

  • Assisted with highly complex environmental insurance litigation in three successful jury trials
  • Represented farmers in the first ever appeal to the Board of Tax and Land Appeals under the "Rails to Trails" takings statutes
  • Represented clients in a nuisance action against a town involving issues relating to the use of a railroad bed as a recreational trail
  • Assisted with the defense of mechanic's lien attachments for a large retailer
  • Defended and brought construction litigation and collection matters
  • Assisted in writing the appellant brief in EnergyNorth Natural Gas, Inc. v. Underwriters & Lloyds, et al., 150 N.H. 828 (2003), securing a landmark victory for New Hampshire businesses seeking insurance coverage for environmental claims.

Rachel is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, American Bar Association, the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association, the New Hampshire Women's Bar Association, the Manchester Bar Association, the William S. Batchelder Inns of Court and Sigma XI.

She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and is admitted to appear before the U.S. District Court of New Hampshire and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Community Involvement

Rachel is a board member of the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire and the Alliance Francaise of New Hampshire, is Secretary for the board of directors of Girls, Inc., and is on the business planning committee for the Red River Theater, Concord, New Hampshire.
