Environmental Law

McLane's Environmental Practice Group includes attorneys with nearly 50 years of collective experience in dealing with the critical balance between the preservation of natural resources, and the legitimate interests of businesses and individuals. McLane has a long history of providing legal counsel on environmental issues for companies with interests in New Hampshire.

Members of our Environmental Practice Group have served as speakers on all the major environmental laws and such issues as biosolids and water rights. The members of this group wrote New Hampshire's Environmental Law Handbook, 2nd Edition.

We handle all government regulation work and provide representation before federal, State and local government, particularly the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, the Department of Transportation, the Division of Public Health, the Public Utilities Commission, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Some of the services we provide include: permitting, defense of enforcement cases, litigation arising under all federal and State environmental statutes, transactional due diligence, lobbying, complex environmental insurance coverage, audits, strategic planning, land use development, public utilities' environmental compliance and energy facility siting.
