Small Business GroupWe recognize that new and emerging businesses have a particular need to be able to anticipate, budget for, and minimize legal expense. Yet these businesses often have the same need as much larger businesses for quality legal assistance on a wide variety of issues. To meet this need, our Small Business Group offers a retainer arrangement under which clients pay a flat annual fee for all routine telephone consultations and attorney-client conferences regarding basic corporate, employment, contractual and commercial matters, regardless of the total amount of time involved during the course of the year. As a client of The McLane Law Firm, you will also be invited to attend seminars sponsored by the firm's business lawyers to help keep you up-to-date on important changes in the law. You also will receive all of the legal updates or newsletters we send to our clients on new or anticipated legal issues. In addition to these services, as part of each client's annual meeting, we will provide one hour of legal advice from a lawyer whose practice focuses on one of the following areas: estate planning, taxation, intellectual property, employment matters or environmental issues. It is our belief that by providing timely and efficient services under this arrangement, we can assist our clients in avoiding more complex issues down the road. We also recognize that the personal relationship and knowledge that develops between small business owners and their attorneys is an important part of the success of that relationship. For that reason, our Small Business Group includes individuals with a broad scope of experience and expertise, so that you can rely primarily on one individual for advice, rather than dealing with a maze of specialists and subspecialists as is common in many other major law firms. By ensuring that you have a personal relationship with an individual attorney, we believe that we are better able to ensure that the service we provide will be responsive, effective and efficient and will take into consideration the risks and benefits that you face in your business.
