Biography

Prior to joining the firm, Mike served two terms as Assistant Commissioner of the N.H. Department of Environmental Services. From 1985 to 2003, he was an Assistant Attorney General in the N.H. Department of Justice, where he was Chief of the Transportation and Construction Bureau, which represents the state Department of Transportation, and then Chief of the Environmental Protection Bureau, which represents the legal interests of the Fish and Game Department and the Department of Environmental Services. In these capacities, Mike has been responsible for a wide range of governmental and regulatory matters, including the acquisition of property by eminent domain for public projects and the administrative and judicial enforcement of environmental laws. He has also worked for many years in the state legislative arena, drafting bill language and testifying in support or opposition to legislative proposals in the N.H. House of Representatives and the Senate.

Mike received his J.D. from the American University - Washington College of Law in 1977 and a B.S. in Zoology from Duke University in 1973.
