Katelyn is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Intellectual Property and Cybersecurity and Privacy Groups. She advises businesses on transactional matters related to entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, and corporate governance and on various intellectual property matters, including trademark eligibility and applications. As a member of McLane Middleton’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Group, Katelyn also works with businesses on information privacy and security assessments and policies, data breach response, due diligence in transactions, and vendor management, including appropriate privacy and security agreements.
Katelyn received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 2020 with concentrations in Privacy Law and Intellectual Property & Innovation. During law school, Katelyn worked as a summer associate at McLane Middleton and completed internships at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and Wellington Management Company. As a clinic member in Northeastern’s IP CO-LAB, she advised entrepreneurs on various trademark matters and gained practical experience filing trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to law school, Katelyn worked as the office manager in a small family law firm and earned a graduate certificate in Foundations of Business from UMass Lowell. She received her B.A., cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 2013.
