The Future of Small, Private Colleges (seminar, 6/6/2019)

Written by: Susan E. Schorr

McLane Middleton attorney Susan E. Schorr presented a free seminar at McLane Middleton's Woburn office on June 6, 2019.

The Future of Small, Private Colleges

With less resources at its disposal, the margin of error on small college operations is significantly less than larger institutions, which is one reason we continue to see so many small colleges throughout the country entering into mergers or shutting their doors entirely.

On June 6, 2019, Kurt T. Steinberg, Ed.D., President of Montserrat College of Art, and Susan E. Schorr, an attorney at McLane Middleton, will discuss the challenges small, private colleges are facing, how they can stay ahead of potential issues, and what the future for these institutions looks like. In addition, the presentation will discuss hot button issues for students on campus, including free speech and sexual misconduct.

Co-Presenters: Kurt T. Steinberg (Montserrat College of Art) and Sandy Lish (The Castle Group)
