McLane Middleton’s Education Law Practice Group will conduct a comprehensive one-year check-in on the current administration’s approach and modifications to education policy. This webinar will cover the significant changes that have taken place over the past year in the federal government’s position on various issues impacting educational institutions, including those made through executive orders, agency guidance, and announced future policies. Presenters

Michael A. Delaney
Director & Chair Litigation Department

Michael is an experienced trial attorney and has litigated cases in state and federal courts for over 30 years. He represents organizations and individuals with government and internal investigations and complex civil and criminal litigation. He advises schools, colleges and universities on Title IX issues, responses to faculty and student misconduct and compliance issues. Michael also conducts and oversees internal investigations and provides counsel to organizations on crisis management.

Cameron J. Cantelmo
Associate, Litigation Department

Cameron assists individuals, organizations, and businesses in a variety of matters, including real estate disputes, environmental permitting appeals, and business litigation. Cameron received his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2024, where he served as Vice President of the Environmental Law Society, participated in the Boston College Defenders Clinic, and competed in the Jeffrey G. Miller National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, where his team made it to the finals.

Brian focuses his practice on understanding and serving the needs of independent day and boarding schools. Brian partners with many of the country’s leading independent schools to provide comprehensive advice on all aspects of school operations, including student and parent issues, employment matters, school governance and leadership, and general risk management. He works closely with board chairs, heads of schools, financial officers, and other senior leadership members in tackling complex matters affecting school communities.
