MANCHESTER, NH —The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association proudly announces the election of attorneys, William V.A. Zorn and Colleen D. O’Connell as Fellows of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). McLane attorneys Robert Wells and Charles DeGrandpre were elected as Fellows to this preeminent organization in 1988 and 1985.

Mr. Zorn is a director and Chair of its Trust and Estate Department, which he has been a member of since 1980. He is also a member of the firm’s Corporate and Tax Departments. He handles all aspects of federal and state taxation, estate planning for owners and executives of closely held corporations, as well as IRS and New Hampshire tax audits on these issues. Ms. O’Connell is Of Counsel and practices out of the firm’s Nashua office, serving clients in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. A member of the Trust and Estate Department, she focuses her practice in these areas as well as in Taxation. Ms. O’Connell has been practicing in the T&E area since 1985.

The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel is a professional association consisting of approximately 2,700 lawyers from throughout the United States. Its primary purpose is to maintain a base of lawyers skilled and experienced in wills, trusts and estate planning who will share their expertise with other lawyers in this practice area to improve and reform probate, trust and tax laws, procedures, and professional responsibility.

An attorney cannot apply for membership in the College, but is nominated by other Fellows in their geographic area and elected by the membership at large on the basis of professional reputation, ability, and contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching, and bar activities.
