Adam Hamel, Ali Geiger, and Laura Kahl to Present at NEHRA’s Legal Compliance and Risk Management in the Workplace Event

McLane Middleton attorneys Adam M. Hamel, Alexandra L. Geiger, and Laura McKelligott Kahl will be presenting at Northeast HR Association’s “Legal Compliance and Risk Management in the Workplace” event on January 16, 2020 in Sturbridge, Mass.

As part of the presentation, the presenters will discuss Compliance Concerns, which will include avoiding employee classification missteps; corporate culture, diversity and training in a post #MeToo world; problem employees in the workplace; and hiring and firing.  There will also be a Hot Topics Roundtable, which will cover: the workplace civility challenge; marijuana at work; the commission pay dilemma; and a pay equity and transparency update.

Adam is a director in McLane Middleton’s Litigation Department and serves as vice chair of the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of business, employment and probate litigation. Adam regularly assists clients on a variety of commercial and employment litigation matters, including claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, and violations of restrictive covenants. Ali is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department where she regularly represents employers in discrimination, wrongful termination and contract disputes, including claims brought before state and federal agencies, and counsels employers on managing risk with respect to the employment relationship.
