Alexandra T. Breed Elected a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association is pleased to announce that Alexandra T. Breed has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, (“ACTEC”).

Fellowship in ACTEC is granted by way of peer nominations of the membership at large, on the basis of professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates, and in recognition of contribution to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching, and involvement in bar activities. This brings to six the number of McLane trusts and estates attorneys who currently hold this prestigious honor.

In her practice with McLane, Alexandra counsels individuals and families regarding advanced wealth preservation and transfer techniques, including estate planning, estate and gift taxes, charitable giving techniques, conservation easements, ownership and transfer of significant family properties, asset protection and guardianships. She is also a frequent speaker and author on the use of conservation easements in estate planning.

Alexandra is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. She is an active member in the Estate Planning Council, New Hampshire Bar Elder Law, Estate Planning & Probate Law Section and the New Hampshire Bar Real Estate Section.

She has been named to the list of “Top Attorneys in NH” by New Hampshire Magazine, New England Super Lawyers 2011, and Woodward/White’s Best Lawyers in America®, in the areas of Real Estate Law, and Trusts & Estates Law.
Alexandra currently serves on the board of trustees for the Mount Washington Observatory, in North Conway, New Hampshire. She formerly served as a trustee of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center in Holderness, New Hampshire, and as a former director of the Appalachian Mountain Club in Boston, Massachusetts.

Alexandra received her LL.M. from Boston University School of Law (1999), her J.D. from Boston University School of Law (1974) and her B.A. from Vassar College, Cum Laude (1970).
