McLane Law Firm is pleased to announce that Andrew P. Botti has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, (AIM). Founded in 1915, AIM is the oldest and largest statewide association working to serve and foster the business interests of Massachusetts employers. McLane has been actively involved with AIM since 2010.
For over twenty years Andrew has represented large corporations, smaller businesses, and family owned and operated enterprises in complex commercial and employment-related disputes. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in both state and federal court, and has appeared on behalf of employers before various administrative and legislative agencies such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. A former Chairman of the Board of SBANE (2009 – 2011), Andrew is recognized as a staunch and active advocate for business interests across Massachusetts. Andrew has been a lead proponent for maintaining the current state of the law concerning non-compete agreements in Massachusetts, and the broad and necessary protections such agreements afford employers.
He is admitted to the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts (1991), the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, as well as the First and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeal.
