Bijan Ameli and Annie Cho Admitted to Massachusetts State Bar

The law firm of McLane Middleton is pleased to announce that attorneys Bijan P. Ameli and Annie Cho have been admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar.

Bijan is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department. He advises business clients on transactional matters related to entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, corporate governance, and healthcare law.  Bijan earned his J.D. with a concentration in health policy and law from Northeastern University School of Law in 2020. During law school, Bijan was a summer associate at McLane Middleton. Additionally, he interned in the office of the general counsel at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Mass General Brigham (formerly Partners HealthCare), and MathWorks, a large private software company in the Greater Boston area.  During law school, Bijan competed in the National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition for two consecutive years.  Bijan earned his B.A. from The George Washington University in 2017 where he majored in political science. During his undergraduate career, Bijan completed multiple internships with various government relations & public affairs firms in Washington D.C. including the Podesta Group and Cassidy & Associates. Annie is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department. She advises businesses on a wide variety of transactional matters related to entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, and corporate governance. Additionally, as a member of the Privacy and Data Security Practice Group, she assists clients to comply with domestic and global privacy laws and respond to data breaches. She holds a CIPP/US certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).  During law school, Annie completed four full-time co-ops at State Street, a tech start-up, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and McLane Middleton.  She was also a member of her law school’s clinic, IP CO-LAB, where she advised entrepreneurs in intellectual property-related matters, including trademark eligibility and applications.  Prior to law school, she worked as a legal administrative assistant at a Boston law firm and at a think tank in South Korea developing policies for women.  Annie received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law with concentrations in Privacy Law and Intellectual Property & Innovation and her B.A. from University of California, Berkeley with a double major in Political Economy and Legal Studies.
