Cameron Shilling to Present Seminar on Non-Competition Agreements at New Hampshire Bar Annual Labor and Employment Law Update

The McLane Law Firm with offices in Manchester, Portsmouth, and Concord, New Hampshire, as well as Woburn, Massachusetts, is pleased to announce that Cameron G,. Shilling will participate in the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Annual Labor and Employment Law Update.

Held on April 4, 2014 from 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM in the NHBA Seminar Room at 2 Pillsbury Street in Concord, this full day seminar will address the cutting edge developments in employment and benefits law over the past year. Cameron’s presentation will focus on litigation and legislative developments in New Hampshire concerning confidentiality and non-competition agreements. Specifically, he will summarize recent decisions from New Hampshire courts, and changes to the State’s controversial non-compete legislation. He will also provide best practices for creating and implementing non-competition agreement for clients in this environment.

Cameron is a Director in the McLane Law Firm’s Litigation Department, and Chair of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security Group. In his 18 years as a lawyer, Cameron has managed, litigated and resolved numerous commercial matters involving business, technology, and employment issues in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New England, and around the country.

He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America (Employment Law) (2013-present); Chambers USA: A Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers (Labor and Employment) (2008-present); and Super Lawyers (New Hampshire, New England, Corporate Counsel) (2007-present). Cameron serves as Vice President, Business Litigation Section for the N.H. Bar Association, (2011-present), and former President of the Employment Law Section, N.H. Bar Association, (2006-2008). He is Chair of Sub-Committee on Trade Secret and Non-Competition Agreement Litigation for the Massachusetts Bar Association, (2004-2007), and is Martindale-Hubbell, BV Peer Review Rated (2000-present).

Cameron received a J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1995, and a B.A. from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon in 1992, with honors in Business. While in law school, he interned for United States District Court Judge Royce Lamberth in Washington, D.C.
