Charla Bizios Stevens Discusses the Social and Economic Costs of Alcohol Abuse and Dependency on New Hampshire Businesses on WMUR

McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association is pleased to announce that Charla Bizios Stevens was a recent guest on WMUR’s New Hampshire’s Business Show, discussing her experience advising companies who deal with employee alcoholism.

In the segment, host Fred Kocher looks at a recent report of the staggering costs to the state on alcohol abuse and dependency.

Loss of productivity and increases in healthcare costs top the employer concerns, but Charla also pointed out that companies also suffer a blow to employee morale, as relationships between employees are strained in workplaces dealing with chronic absenteeism due to alcohol abuse. Particularly in companies who strive for lean operations, absenteeism is a real concern.
