The Supreme Court of New Hampshire recently appointed McLane Middleton attorney Charla Bizios Stevens to the Lawyers Assistance Program (LAP) Commission for a term of March 2, 2021 to March 1, 2024.
The Lawyers Assistance Program is an independent, confidential resource established by the NH Supreme Court. LAP provides free, confidential assistance to New Hampshire lawyers, judges, and law students who experience substance abuse, depression, stress or other distress that affect well-being and impair an individual’s ability to function and practice law. LAP can also aid in the curtailment of malpractice claims and disciplinary complaints.
Charla is chair of the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group and practices in the Education and Health Care Practice Groups. She currently serves on the ABA Section of Litigation’s Task Force on Employee Mental Health and Wellness and chaired McLane Middleton’s colleague wellness initiative.
