Parent has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Palace Theatre, Manchester’s non-profit live performing arts theatre offering a broad range of community and professional performances and educational opportunities in the performing arts.
Jennifer is a director in the firm’s Litigation Department and Chair of McLane’s Employment Law Practice Group. Her practice involves representing large and small companies in business and employment disputes. She has represented employers in the areas of employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, trade secret, non-competition, and non-solicitation. She has represented companies in a wide range of business litigation involving contracts, unfair competition, real estate, leases, misrepresentation, construction, and other business disputes. Jennifer has also represented companies in employment matters at the agency level. She is a trained mediator with extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution.
Jennifer is the immediate past President of the New Hampshire Bar Association, and was recently elected to the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents. She has been named to the Union Leader’s “Forty Under 40” list, and was named a Trailblazer in the Law by the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association. Jennifer is listed in Chambers USA: A Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers (Labor and Employment) and in Woodward/White’s Best Lawyers in America.
Jennifer served on the Board of Directors for Opera New Hampshire for six years.
Jennifer received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and her B.A. from Boston College.
