Held on Friday, February 21, 2014, from 10:15 – 11:15 AM, John’s seminar will cover the proper organizational form and choice of entity under Massachusetts law; various types of organizational documents and agreements and some best practices for start ups.
John is a member of the Corporate Department. He focuses his practice on venture capital financings, private placements of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, bank financings, intellectual property licensing, renewable energy, software licensing and technology law.
John represents financing sources and developers in connection with evolving renewable energy and clean tech projects. He also handles multi-million dollar mergers, acquisitions and divestitures as well as corporate loan, venture capital financing and private equity transactions. John represents and advises financing sources and various corporate entities with regard to their specific corporate transactional needs and on a general corporate counsel level. He also advises early stage companies, technology entrepreneurs and owners of established businesses on succession planning, general corporate compliance and in connection with their contracting, technology licensing, business planning, and intellectual property matters.
John is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the American Bar Association’s Section on Science & Technology. He is particularly active in the Greater Boston technology and innovation sector. John is a member of the Board of Directors for SBANE, a member of the 128 Innovation Capital Group, the North Shore Technology Council, and the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers.
