John Colucci Appointed Board Chair of Montserrat College of Art

Montserrat College of Art has elected new leadership to its Board of Trustees, naming Atty. John Colucci of Wenham, Managing Partner-Trade Center at McLane Middleton Professional Association, as the new board chair.

“At Montserrat, students transform themselves,” Colucci said, noting his enthusiasm to take over the chairmanship. “The personalized education and nurturing environment encourage them to discover and refine their personal creative vision and how they express it. I’m honored and excited to lead our Board of Trustees as we further the momentum of this vibrant small college as it readies students for success in the creative economy, or the many other paths their Montserrat education enables them to take.”

John has a dual background as both an attorney and CPA. This unique skill set gives him a differentiating perspective and depth of understanding of the legal issues necessary for protecting a growing business, as well as the financial drivers of operating and sustaining a successful company. John’s ability to communicate complex legal and business issues clearly, concisely and simply is a hallmark of his work, as is his easy manner, yet no-nonsense style in effectively managing business and legal matters for his clients.

Montserrat College of Art is a small, private, residential college of visual art and design, founded in 1970, by artists, for artists, educating the creative problem solvers of tomorrow. The college offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, adult and teen continuing education classes and three galleries exhibiting works by international, national and regional contemporary artists, intended to offer art education beyond the Montserrat classrooms through a series of public lectures, gallery talks, catalogs and events. www.montserrat.edu/news/commencement
