John Weaver to Present at 2024 AISNE Business & Operations Conference

Attorney John Weaver will be presenting at this year’s Association for Independent Schools in New England (AISNE) Business & Operations Conference on Monday April 8, 2024. John will be speaking about, The Future of the Independent School Business Office and Generative AI, which will explore how generative AI is reshaping the landscape of school business offices. John will discuss applications, explain how schools can apply them to their operations, review best practices, and provide predictions for the potential impact of generative AI on financial management, human resources, and administrative processes within independent schools.

John is a director and chair of McLane Middleton’s Artificial Intelligence Practice Group. His practice includes conducting risk assessments of AI systems, advising clients concerning AI policies and best practices, and counseling clients regarding emerging legal and practical issues in AI. John also serves on the steering committee for the American Bar Association’s Artificial Intelligence & Robotics National Institute. He is the author of Robots Are People Too: How Siri, Google Car, and Artificial Intelligence Will Force Us to Change Our Laws, a contributing writer at Slate focusing on legal issues implicated by AI and autonomous devices, and a columnist for and member of the board of editors of The Journal of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Law.
