John Weaver to Take Part in LinkedIn Live Event Discussing Artificial Intelligence

Attorney John Weaver will take part in a LinkedIn Live event presented by Chief Outsiders on, “The Legal Landscape for Implementing AI,” on Wednesday, April 10 at 11 a.m. John will sit down with Dina Baker from Chief Outsiders to discuss his path to creating an AI Practice Group at the firm, what’s emerged as The Legal Landscape for Implementing AI, what are the top issues his mid-market clients face and how do he and his colleagues recommend mitigating risk while embracing the competitive advantages of AI?

John is a director and chair of McLane Middleton’s Artificial Intelligence Practice Group. His practice includes conducting risk assessments of AI systems, advising clients concerning AI policies and best practices, and counseling clients regarding emerging legal and practical issues in AI. John also serves on the steering committee for the American Bar Association’s Artificial Intelligence & Robotics National Institute. He is the author of Robots Are People Too: How Siri, Google Car, and Artificial Intelligence Will Force Us to Change Our Laws, a contributing writer at Slate focusing on legal issues implicated by AI and autonomous devices, and a columnist for and member of the board of editors of The Journal of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Law.
