Linda Johnson to Present at NAIS Webinar on the Ten Steps in a Legally Effective Hiring Process for Independent Schools

On Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. EDT, McLane attorney Linda Johnson will present for the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) as part of its Legal Webinar Series on the “Ten Steps in a Legally Effective Hiring Process for Independent Schools.”

Hiring the best candidate is the ultimate goal of the hiring process. A well-devised hiring process provides an opportunity for a school to learn whether the candidate is the right fit for the school, and for the candidate to evaluate whether the school is the right fit for the candidate. Schools must also keep in mind that various federal and state employment laws impact the hiring process. This webinar with cover best practices and provide guidelines, samples, and checklists intended to help schools understand, develop, and adopt policies and procedures that support a legally compliant and effective hiring process. Linda Johnson is also the author of the newly published NAIS Legal Advisory on the NAIS Independent School Guide to Hiring.

The one hour webinar is free to NAIS members, but registration is required.  To register, please visit
