April 23, 2009, Manchester, NH – The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association, with offices in Manchester, Portsmouth, and Concord, New Hampshire, as well as Woburn, Massachusetts is pleased to announce that Jennifer L. Parent has been elected Vice President of the New Hampshire Bar Association.
She served on the NH Bar Association’s Board of Governors for Hillsborough County (North) for four years until 2008, and currently sits on the New Layers Committee, which she chaired in 2004.
Jennifer is a member of McLane’s Business Litigation, Employment, and Land Use Practice Groups. Her practice involves representation of large and small companies in litigation, business and employment disputes.
She is a founding member and past President of the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association, by whom she was honored with a Trailblazer in the Law Award in 2008. She has also received the NH Bar Foundation’s Kirby Award, selected by a committee of judges from the U.S. District Court, NH Supreme Court, Probate Court, and district court.
Jennifer was named a “40 Under 40” honoree in 2007 by the Manchester Union Leader; she serves on the Board of Opera New Hampshire, in addition to being deeply involved with her alma mater. As president of the New Hampshire Alumni of Suffolk University Law School, Jennifer helped found the organization’s first loan assistance program for Suffolk law graduates who practice in NH’s public sector helping the disadvantaged. She also serves on Suffolk’s Dean’s Advisory Committee.
