February 15, 2006, MANCHESTER, NH — The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association is proud to announce that Linda Johnson, chair of the firm’s employment and education practices has been named one of the “2006 Outstanding Women in Business” by the New Hampshire Business Review.
The program honors the hard-working and inspiring women of New Hampshire’s business community whose achievements, success, commitment and vision make them true leaders in their chosen fields.
“With so many of our state’s most successful businesses and nonprofits led by women, we felt it was time to honor those who are doing a truly remarkable job and have such a large impact on both our state’s economy and communities,” said Jeff Feingold, editor of the Business Review.
Dozens of candidates were reviewed, each for her personal contribution to her business’ success, her ability to overcome challenges, her impact within her industry in terms of personal and professional growth, her role in key decision-making and advocacy for women in the workplace, and her involvement in the community.
“Linda is a powerful advocate for women, both through her professional role as a partner in New Hampshire’s largest law firm and also through her proactive work in preventing harassment in workplaces and schools throughout New England,” said Michael McCluskey, McLane’s executive director.
Linda is a member of the Employment Law Sections of the New Hampshire Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is also a member of the Human Resource Committee of the New Hampshire Business and Industry Association, the Manchester Area Human Resource Association, and the National Society for Human Resource Management. She has been awarded the Jon Meyer Civil Rights Award, the Marilla Ricker award for a leading female attorney in New Hampshire, and was also named a “Champion for Children” by the state school administrators association for her volunteer work for education.
