McLane Director Wilbur Glahn Re-Elected Chair of State Bar Association’s Business Litigation Committee

July 5, 2006, MANCHESTER, NH— Wilbur (Bill) Glahn, chair of the Business Litigation group of the law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, P.A., has been re-elected chair of the New Hampshire State Bar Association’s section on Business Litigation.

The committee serves as a forum for members to informally discuss topics and procedures relative to the litigation of business related matters.

Bill’s practice at McLane focuses on corporate litigation, including contract, corporate governance and shareholder disputes, however, Bill’s more than thirty years of trial experience includes a wide variety of trial work, including the representation of companies and individuals in tax, securities, trade secret and employment litigation. As a former Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Civil Division of the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, he also has extensive experience in governmental and administrative litigation, as well as lawsuits involving constitutional law including tax matters, defamation and civil rights. Bill also serves as a mediator in the Federal and State Courts.

Bill has been recognized as one of the leading business trial lawyers in New Hampshire, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He has been named to Woodward’s list of Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA’s America’s Leading Business Lawyers for the past three years. Bill is admitted in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and Supreme Court of the United States.

He also serves on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation, the New England Legal Foundation, the School Board for the City of Concord and on Main Street Concord, where he currently is the Chair of its Economic Development Committee.

Bill graduated with honors from Trinity College with a Bachelor of Arts in 1969 and was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago School of Law in 1972.
