McLane Helps Raise North Church Steeple

June 8, 2007, Portsmouth, NH: — The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association is proud to join in the community’s sponsorship of the rebirth of an important landmark in the heart of Portsmouths Market Square.

After several years of planning, fund raising and ultimate construction, the restoration of the steeple on North Church is complete. The 152-year-old structure once again stands as a proud downtown icon. The City of Portsmouth put up the first $100,000 but citizens and businesses raised more than an additional $900,000 to see the project to its fruition.

“The number of individuals and organizations who united in this effort is a real testament to our community,” said Charlie DeGrandpre, an attorney with the firm who concentrates his practice in trusts and estates. He adds, “McLane is just one of many who believe it’s important to our city to maintain its historic landmarks.”
