McLane Law Firm Hires Former Patent Examiner Beverly Hjorth as Latest Addition to the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department

The McLane Law Firm with offices in Woburn, Massachusetts, and Manchester, Portsmouth, and Concord, New Hampshire, is pleased to announce that Beverly E. Hjorth has joined the firm’s TradeCenter 128 Office in Woburn, Massachusetts.

Beverly’s focuses her practice in prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications and related matters such as opinions, audits and infringement matters. She practices particularly in the fields of mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, materials, medical devices, optics, manufacturing, and structural and civil engineering. She has written and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications for clients of all sizes, from individual inventors and small and medium sized enterprises to large corporations and universities.

Prior to attending law school, she was a Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office examining patent applications in a mechanical art unit.

“With her experience as a patent examiner, Beverly brings a unique perspective and skill set to our patent practice,” said Mark Wright, Chair of McLane’s Intellectual Property Department.

Beverly received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University, her M.S.E. in Civil Engineering from Princeton University and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
