McLane Middleton CEO Steven Camerino to Receive 2023 Honorary Degree from Franklin Pierce University

The law firm of McLane Middleton is pleased to announce that Steven V. Camerino will receive an honorary doctorate degree as part of Franklin Pierce University’s 58th Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 13.

As the Chief Executive Officer of McLane Middleton, Steve is responsible for overseeing the firm’s business operations and implementation of its strategic plan. He previously served as President/CEO of New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC), a consumer-owned electric utility that provides service in 118 communities throughout New Hampshire. Prior to joining NHEC, Steve was a shareholder and director with McLane Middleton for more than 30 years, where he was Managing Director of the firm’s Concord office and chaired the firm’s Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications Practice Group.

Steve served on the Franklin Pierce University Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2022, holding the position of Board Chair from 2016 to 2019. Beyond Franklin Pierce, Steve has been involved in a leadership role in numerous non-profit organizations over the years, including serving for many years as President of New Hampshire Legal Assistance and Legal Advice and Referral Center, both of which serve low income clients. In 1999, he received the New Hampshire Bar Association’s L. Jonathan Ross Award for Legal Services to the Poor and was listed for many years in The Best Lawyers in America and in Super Lawyers in the energy and public utilities field.
