The law firm of McLane Middleton, Professional Association is pleased to announce the hiring of attorneys Laura McKelligott Kahl and Kolbie R. McCabe.
Laura joins the firm as an associate in the Litigation Department. She counsels employers on managing and minimizing risk in employee matters such as hiring, discipline and termination of employees, wage and hour issues, classification of employees and independent contractors, claims of discrimination and harassment, and restrictive covenants. She works with employers to maintain compliance with state and federal employment laws, and assists employers with workplace policies and procedures. Prior to joining McLane Middleton, Laura was an attorney with a Massachusetts firm where she concentrated her practice in employment law and general civil and commercial litigation. Laura received her B.A. from Trinity College and her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. Laura resides in Melrose, Mass. and is admitted in Massachusetts and Delaware. Kolbie is an associate in the Tax Department. Kolbie advises individuals on income tax planning and entities on compliance with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. Kolbie received her B.A. from the University of Virginia and her J.D., from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law.
