McLane Middleton Hires Laura Koulet and John Weaver

The law firm of McLane Middleton is pleased to announce the hiring of attorneys Laura G. Koulet and John Weaver.

Laura is an associate the firm’s corporate department where she helps clients navigate both legal and business challenges by providing practical counsel and solutions.  Her practice areas include general corporate, intellectual property, privacy, and data security.  Laura is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association.  Laura resides in Portsmouth, N.H., and can be reached in the firm’s Manchester office at (603) 628-1256 or laura.koulet@mclane.com.  

John re-joins the firm as an associate in the corporate and real estate departments.  He has a diverse practice that focuses on land use, real estate, telecommunications, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, self-driving vehicles, and drones. In his real estate practice, John assists clients to navigate land use regulations and permitting, draft leases, sell and acquire real estate, obtain financing, refinance existing loans, and negotiate title insurance policies. In the telecommunications field, John has extensive experience working with carriers and tower companies to permit and lease wireless facilities, while also advising clients on relevant local, state, and federal regulations. As an emerging technologies lawyer, John has advised a wide range of companies – from startups to international corporations – on regulatory and legal issues unique to those technologies, including data privacy concerns, regulations governing drones, state legislation affecting self-driving cars, and the impact of autonomous devices and programs on user and employment agreements.  John resides in Reading, Mass., and can be reached in the firm’s Woburn office at (781) 904-2685 or john.weaver@mclane.com
