Brian Garrett to Present at the Enrollment Management Association’s 2024 Enrollment Leadership Council Seminar Series

Attorney Brian B. Garrett will present at the Enrollment Management Association’s 2024 Enrollment Management Leadership Council Seminar Series on Monday, April 22, 2024. Brian will be discussing, “Legal Challenges in Admissions:  From Supreme Court Cases to Confidential Conversations,” which will focus on the evolving legal landscape impacting independent school admissions offices.  He will touch on the continuing effect of the Supreme Court’s affirmative action case on higher education and K-12 admissions, as well as other recent cases and legal issues involving independent schools’ duties and obligations to applicants.

Brian is a Director and the Chair of McLane Middleton’s Education Law Practice Group and focuses his practice on understanding and serving the needs of independent day and boarding schools, colleges and universities, and early childcare programs. Brian partners with many of the country’s leading independent schools to provide comprehensive advice on all aspects of school operations, including student and parent issues, employment matters, school governance and leadership, and general risk management. He works closely with board chairs, heads of schools, financial officers, and other senior leadership members in tackling complex matters affecting school communities.
