Jennifer Parent, McLane Middleton attorney and the American Bar Foundation (ABF)’s National Fellows Chair, moderated the program’s discussion on the Lasting Consequences of Mass Incarceration during the 2026 Annual Conference on July 31, 2026. Opening the program, Parent observed that for many people, “life after prison is its own form of prison,” framing a discussion that brought together empirical research and lived experience to explore how incarceration shapes individuals, families, and communities – and how the legal profession can respond.
Jennifer is a director of the firm’s Litigation Department and chairs its Business Litigation Practice Group.
