McLane Attorney Joins Advisory Board Of Amoskeag Business Incubator

September 18, 2006, Manchester — The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, P.A., with offices in Manchester, Portsmouth, and Concord, is pleased to announce that Scott Rand, a senior patent attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group was recently appointed to the Advisory Board of the Amoskeag Business Incubator, (“Incubator”).

The Incubator provides affordable office space, technical assistance and support services to new and small business. As a member of the Advisory Board, Scott will take part in providing advice to the Board of Directors and the Executive Director in the areas of business development and marketing.

Scott is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and is involved with all phases of patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret law practice, including patent, trademark and copyright preparation and prosecution, foreign and domestic licensing and contract matters, patent opinion preparation, general intellectual property counseling and litigation relating to patent, trademark, copyright and other intellectual property matters. Prior to entering private practice, Scott worked as a patent Examiner in the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

He received two Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry in 1986 and Science Education in 1988 from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and the University of Maryland, respectively. He received his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1996.

Scott resides in Candia, New Hampshire with his family.
