Attorneys Peg O’Brien and Mike Delaney will present at an all-day seminar, “Nonprofit Law in New Hampshire,” sponsored by the New Hampshire Bar Association on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Peg and Mike will be joined by other experts to provide a comprehensive, practical overview of nonprofit law in 2026, from formation and compliance to governance, ethics, employment, political activity, and dissolution. This program equips attorneys with the tools they need to advise nonprofits proactively, manage risk, and navigate heightened scrutiny in a changing regulatory and political climate.

Peg is a Director and Chair of the Employment Law Practice Group. She assists employers with legal compliance and risk management in all phases of the employment relationship, as well as defense of employers in matters pending before government agencies and courts. Peg also provides training for employees and supervisors on harassment prevention and documentation and discipline best practices and conducts independent workplace investigations. Peg is a former Chair of the NH Bar’s Labor & Employment Section and current Legislative Director for the HR State Council of NH. Mike is a Director and Chair of the Litigation Department. He is an experienced trial attorney and has litigated cases in state and federal courts for over 30 years. He represents organizations and individuals with government and internal investigations and complex civil and criminal litigation. He also advises schools, colleges and universities on Title IX issues, responses to faculty and student misconduct and compliance issues. Mike conducts and oversees internal investigations and provides counsel to organizations on crisis management. Having served as Attorney General of New Hampshire (2009 – 2013), legal counsel to Governor John H. Lynch (2006-2009), Deputy Attorney General (2004-2006), and Chief of the State’s Homicide Prosecution Unit (1999-2004), Mike is highly regarded in and out of government for his strategic judgment and skills as a lawyer.
