Josh is an associate in the firm’s Tax Department. He has advised a wide range of clients—from Fortune 500 companies to tax-exempt organizations to individuals—on tax controversy and transactional matters. Josh has helped clients resolve issues with the IRS in the audit, appeals, Tax Court, collections, and private ruling contexts. He has represented clients in diverse transactions involving federal and state tax issues, strategic mergers & acquisitions, private fund launches and investments, taxable and tax-free structures, partnerships and corporations, and foreign and domestic parties.
Prior to joining McLane Middleton, Josh was a tax associate at Sidley Austin in Chicago. Prior to attending law school, Josh served four years of active duty as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Captain.
Josh earned his J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame.
