Catherine Yao is an attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, where she advises clients on the protection, management, and enforcement of their intellectual property rights. Her practice encompasses a broad range of intellectual property matters and related issues, with particular experience in patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, ownership and transfer of rights, and disputes involving internet domain names and other complex intellectual property matters. She is a registered patent attorney, licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Catherine received her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, where she also completed the Intellectual Property Certificate program. She received her B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Biotechnology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
