Cameron Shilling to Present on a Webinar for the Business & Industry Association

Cameron Shilling will present on a webinar entitled, “New Privacy Law in New Hampshire: How do you Comply with it?,” on Thursday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. EST sponsored by the Business & Industry Association (BIA). New Hampshire has joined 15 other states (and counting) and many prominent countries in adopting a law governing privacy and cybersecurity for personal information. Because the law takes effect Jan. 1, 2025, businesses that have not already achieved compliance with other such laws need to start now to comply by year’s end. Cam will explain the new rights afforded to individuals and obligations imposed on businesses by this law, and present a practical and achievable strategy for your business to comply with it.

Cam Shilling is a director at McLane Middleton and chair of the firm’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice Group. Combining his business, technology and employment interests, Cameron has developed a depth and breadth of experience in privacy and data security. Within the data privacy part of his practice, Cameron’s background includes creating and implementing privacy policies, terms of use agreements, information use and social media policies, advising clients about workplace privacy, social media, and consumer privacy, and handling data privacy claims asserted against companies. He can be reached at (603) 628-1351 or cameron.shilling@mclane.com.
