Manchester, NH â€â€The law offices of McLane, Graf, Raulerson and Middleton Professional Association proudly announce that attorney Jennifer L. Parent is the 2003 recipient of the coveted Kirby Award. This award honors the memory of attorney Robert E. Kirby who possessed extraordinary traits of civility, courtesy, perspective, and exceptional advocacy in practicing law. Instituted in 1996, after Mr. Kirby’s untimely death at the age of 35, the Kirby Award recognizes attorneys aged 35 or younger who exhibit these exemplary traits. A committee of judges from the U.S. District Court, New Hampshire Supreme Court, Probate Court, and the district court selects the attorney.
Attorney Parent, who recently became a Director of the firm, is a member of the Employment Law and Education Law Practice Groups, focusing in the areas of commercial, employment and general litigation, and education law. She a member of the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association and New Hampshire, Manchester, Nashua and American Bar Associations. Ms. Parent is also immediate past President of the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association and one of the two McLane attorneys among its co-founders in 1998. The 225 member Association promotes and supports the advancement and interests of women in the legal community through leadership, professional interaction, education and the exchange of ideas between members and the community.
Ms. Parent is a native of New Hampshire. A resident of Litchfield, she graduated from Alvirne High School in 1988 and attended the St. Paul’s School Advanced Studies program the summer of 1987. Ms. Parent earned her B.A. from Boston College in 1992, graduating cum laude, and her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where she graduated summa cum laude in 1995. She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and admitted before the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire and the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals.
