July 7, 2010, Woburn, MA – The McLane Law firm is proud to announce that John Colucci has been elected president of the Greater Beverly YMCA, and a member of its Corporate Board. The Greater Beverly YMCA (serving Hamilton, Wenham, Manchester and Beverly) distributes over $550,000.00 in financial assistance to provide children, adults, families and seniors with life-enriching activities and programs that might not otherwise exist for them.
John is a Director in McLane’s Corporate and Tax Departments. With a dual background as both an attorney and CPA, John works with start-up companies to large multi-owner private and publicly traded corporations, with a considerable client base in the software development and service sectors. He has extensive experience in all areas of commercial transactions and business operations, and practices in the areas of business law, tax law, estate and business succession planning and real estate. John is formerly a founding partner of the firm Colucci Norman, LLP in Beverly, Massachusetts.
John currently serves the North Shore business community as Vice President for the North Shore Technology Council, and has been a director of that organization since 2007. He is a member of the Massachusetts and Essex County Bar Associations, as well as the Essex County Estate Planning Council.
In addition to having sat on the Greater Beverly YMCA’s Board of Directors since 2005, John chaired its “Y for All” campaign in 2007 and 2008, and is also actively involved in several other North Shore community organizations. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the North Shore United Way, and chaired its Annual Campaign from 2006-2008. He is past president of the Beverly Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club of Beverly. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Hamilton-Wenham Little League, and is Cub Master of Wenham Cub Scouts, Pack 28.
John received his J.D. from Suffolk University and his B.S from Bentley College. He resides in Wenham.
