January 14, 2008, Manchester, NH: The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association is pleased to announce that Richard A. Samuels, chair of the firm’s Corporate Group, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of Granite State Opera.
A director with the firm since 1987, Dick concentrates his practice in corporate governance, corporate transactions (M&A), and securities regulation, including public company SEC representation, private securities offerings, formation of investment funds and investment adviser representation. He has been named among the best in this field in the legal profession’s definitive service guide, The Best Lawyers in America®, in the areas of Corporate, M&A Law, Financial Institutions Law and Energy Law in each of the last ten years. In addition to his new position with the Granite State Opera, Dick serves on the Board of Directors and chairs the Fiscal Policy Committee of the Business & Industry Association of New Hampshire. He is chairman of the Board of Directors of the Manchester Community Health Center and serves on the Board of Trustees of the New Hampshire Institute of Art. He is a past Trustee and Chairman of the Greater Manchester YMCA, and he continues to serve on various YMCA committees and provides legal counsel to the YMCA. He also has served as chairman of the New Hampshire Bar Pro Bono Referral System Governing Board.
Since 2001, Granite State Opera has produced high quality opera in New Hampshire. Its next production, in May 2008, will be Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte.
