McLane Welcomes Three New Attorneys

Ryan Swartz Joins TradeCenter128 Office in Massachusetts,
Julia Shappals and Hannah Zaitlin Join Manchester, New Hampshire Office

November 23, 2009, Manchester, New Hampshire and Woburn, Massachusetts: The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, Professional Association is pleased to welcome three new attorneys to the firm. 

Ryan Swartz joins McLane’s Trusts and Estates Department in the TradeCenter 128 Office where he practices in a variety of areas of trusts, estate planning, estate administration, and Medicaid planning.  After beginning his career as a Judicial Clerk with the Massachusetts Superior Court, he joined an estate planning law firm in Worcester, Massachusetts before working at the law firm of Borchers Law PC. 

Ryan is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Massachusetts Chapter. 

He earned his J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 2003 and his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1999.

A resident of Franklin, Massachusetts, Ryan is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Julia Shappals has joined McLane’s Corporate Department.  Her extensive legal experience includes the position of General Counsel for QLogic in Aliso Viejo, CA and Assistant General Counsel for AST Computer in Irving, CA.  Her emphasis will be working in the areas of international trade and federal government contracting.
 
Julia’s educational background includes a B.A. from Syracuse University and a J.D. from Pepperdine University.  Her awards include “Woman of Distinction in the Business Law Community” presented by the Woman Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and a “Certificate of Recognition” from the California State Bar. 

She lives in Bedford, New Hampshire and is licensed in New Hampshire and California. 

Hannah Zaitlin has also joined the Corporate Department in the Manchester, New Hampshire office where she assists clients with a wide variety of corporate matters.  

Hannah is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association.  She began her career as an Associate Tax Examiner at Maine Revenue Services under the Margaret Chase Smith Maine State Government Internship Program in 2008.  She earned her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 2009 where she received the school’s Convocation Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Business and Commercial Law.  She received her B.A. from Brandeis University in 2003.

She resides in Manchester, New Hampshire.
