McLane Middleton attorneys Shiva Karimi and Ramey D. Sylvester will be presenting a webcast called “Immigration Due Diligence in Corporate Transactions” on April 16, 2019 as part of the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Learn @ Lunch Webcast Series.
During this program, the presenters will identify issues that may cause immigration consequences in corporate transactions. For example, the presenters will analyze different kinds of corporate transactions and how they impact foreign national employees, the affirmative immigration related steps that may need to be taken during the corporate transaction, and Form I-9 compliance.
Shiva is a director in the firm’s Immigration Practice Group. Her practice focuses on business immigration law. She advises employers and employees in developing creative and effective strategies for temporary and permanent immigration solutions. She also counsels employers in immigration compliance matters and assists employers in responding to audits and investigations. She represents clients across a range of industries including high technology, manufacturing, government, independent schools, non-profits, service businesses and families. Ramey is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Immigration Practice Group.
