As a practicing attorney for over 45 years, David is able to evaluate issues based on decades of experience advising administrators on a daily basis on prevention and response measures to protect children. His substantial experience as counsel to schools and youth-serving organizations includes developing policies, training staff, ensuring reporting compliance, conducting and supervising misconduct investigations, and overseeing remediation efforts. He is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences and has written many articles on these issues.

David has substantial civil and criminal trial experience in state and federal courts. He was an invited guest instructor for the Trial Advocacy Workshop at Harvard Law School for 29 years.

David received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School (1975), his M.A. from Harvard University (1971) and his A.B. from Washington University (1968).
