On March 25, 2020 the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, Waste Management Division, Hazardous Waste Remediation Bureau, and Oil Remediation and Compliance Bureau issued a COVID-19 notice.  The purpose of the notice is to allow the postponement, or establishment of alternative sampling schedules, for environmental field sampling, unless such samples can be conducted safely.  The notice appears to apply to sampling performed under any State remediation program, including petroleum remediation sites, all groundwater management permits and release detection permits, and all permits that are required for drinking water supplies.

All requests for postponement, or for alternative sampling schedules must be submitted to, and approved in in writing in advance by NHDES.
