Suffolk County is Looking Out for Small Businesses During the COVID-19 Crisis

Mayor Walsh has announced a Small Business Relief Grant program for Suffolk County businesses. The parameters for eligibility are as follows:

  • Companies with 0-5 employees and less than $250,000 in annual revenue = $2,500 Grant
  • Companies with 5-15 employees and less than $750,000 in annual revenue =$5,000 Grant
  • Companies with 15-35 employees and less than $1.5 million in annual revenue=$10,000 Grant

Eligibility for the Program requires business owners to provide proof of a location in Suffolk County together with their payroll records and financial statements. Applications for the Program will be accepted starting on April 6, 2020.

The Mayor’s Office has also created a Financial Relief Handbook for Small Businesses which discusses this grant program and others.
